Drug Rehab
Most Drug Rehab Programs don’t work because their curriculum and format are weak and ineffective. They lack the energy and knowledge to take the addicted and restructure them to a higher calibration. A chemically addicted person’s cells are subtonically saturated with each drugs DNA signature. The addicted becomes wholly and completely addicted, that is physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Each person has two selves, the physical self and the ego self (mental, emotional, spiritual). Begining at birth there is a constant struggle between the flesh and its wants. People who have a weak ego have little self control or self mastery. They easily give into the addictions of the flesh. They spend their life running after their deep cravings and end up sucked into the swamp of despair. They remain captive and worship the chemical of their choice.
To break free of the chains forged one at a time by their bad decisions, require an infusion of light and hope into the ego self. To leave the darkness of their self imposed prison requires strength beyond themselves. As long as their ego remains weak, lost, confused and deceived, no steps to sobriety can be taken.
The first steps towards sobriety are desire and self awareness. Self deception, denial and pride are huge barriers that keep the addicted from leaving their prison. Humility, a willingness to abstain and emerge out of secrecy takes gut wrenching strength that many cannot muster, especially on their own.
The single most effective counseling tool that can help people come out of their self made prison is cognitive restructuring. Cognitive restructuring can help the addicted overcome their faulty thinking errors and self defeating behaviors. If this first step is never taken, the last can never be achieved.
